Spring 2024
James spent three weeks contributing additional writing and dramaturgical consultation to Matt Romein’s AR/VR piece Bag of Worms.

James will be assistant directing Liza Birkenmeier’s Grief Hotel at The Public March 20th-April 20th. He is thrilled to re-join director Tara Ahmadinejad.

James’ adaptation of that King of the Hill episode where Peggy falls out of a plane will premier at The Brick on April 9th & 19th at 8pm.

Winter 2023/2024
James performed a section of Melt.Punish as part of Cocktober 2.0 at Brooklyn Art Haus on February 15th.

James performed in Margot Gage’s Our Lady Nostradamus at The Tank on February 6th.

James worked as a production assistant on Clubbed Thumb’s 2024 WinterWorks.

James wrote about Cliff Cardinal’s As You Like It at Under the Radar 2024.

James will spend two weeks in residence at PS21 with The Civilians as a part of his commission co-authoring a play on Jan Gay’s Sex Variants study.

Fall 2023
James has taken a job as Deputy Literary Wrangler at Clubbed Thumb.

James has been providing dramaturgical assistance on The Civilians’ Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)

James’ Post-Cringe Manifesto has been published online.

James is working as a dramaturg on I AM MY OWN MILF as part of the Frigid Festival.

James is currently under commission from The Civilians for a play based on Jan Gay and the Sexual Variants Committee of 1935.

James performed Revisiting Smith’s Point Live! at the Brick Aux on November 29th

James has started working as a reader for New Georges.

James will be acting in Fake Friends’ new piece as a part of their CultureHub Residency. There will be a public showing on Saturday, November 14th.

James has begun work as a dramaturg on an untitled workshop with Steve Cosson at The Mercury Store.
